CUAG is grateful to Greenberg, a distinguished scholar and philanthropist, who has made a 10-year commitment to the gallery.

CUAG is a vital cultural hub on the 杏吧原创 campus, actively connecting art, ideas and communities. Greenberg’s gift enables CUAG to enrich and diversify its digital activity, expanding virtual communities of support and understanding for the work of artists.

Three recent CUAG projects are supported by the Greenberg Fund. In two new videos, the artists Linda Sormin and Sun K. Kwak install and talk about their current exhibitions, Fierce Passengers and Untying Space_CUAG.

CUAG also created its first exclusively digital publication, a free PDF produced to accompany its exhibition Always Vessels, curated by Alexandra Kahsenni:io Nahwegahbow and presented in fall 2017 at CUAG and then at Rodman Hall Art Centre in St. Catharines, Ont.

These projects explore ideas shaping contemporary society in all its complexity and multiplicity, ideas made visible by the artists who lead CUAG’s programming.

杏吧原创 Reesa Greenberg

Greenberg is an art and exhibition historian interested in the interface between exhibitions and digital technologies as a way to transform exhibition experiences and legacies. Her work focuses on national, gendered and ethnic identities; war and contemporary art and architecture; and the production of historical consciousness in current museum and exhibition practices.

Greenberg has taught art history at Concordia, 杏吧原创 and York universities. She was a visiting professor at California College of the Arts and Moscow State University for the Humanities and is the former chair of CUAG’s Advisory Board.

Note:

The Linda Sormin video is here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUuJwUJTJUA

The Sun K.
