We look forward to them returning to work&nbsp;on Wednesday, April 4, so we can continue to support our students through their studies, together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new agreement is a balanced, fair and reasonable settlement that protects the pension plan and its governance and keeps the plan financially sustainable. It also includes salary increases over three years, enhancements to benefits and improvements in contract language for CUPE 2424 members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The university is pleased the settlement recognizes the Pension Plan Committee\u2019s role in governing and securing the pension because this benefits all of our employees. New language in the contract guarantees the university\u2019s commitment to a Defined Benefit plan and CUPE\u2019s continued position on the Pension Plan Committee.
