It is the annual Dick, Ruth, and Judy Bell Lecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>When<\/strong>: Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at 7 p.m.<br>\n<strong>Where<\/strong>: Second Floor Conference Rooms, Richcraft Hall, 杏吧原创 University<br>\n<strong>Info<\/strong>: This event is free and open to the public. <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/fpa\/events\/the-bell-lecture\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Registration is required<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Media are invited to attend the event. Charest is available for interviews.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charest will share his unique perspective on current international trends, including trade agreements, technological change, international politics and other topics essential for understanding national and international relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charest will discuss the future of NAFTA and its impact on the Canadian business landscape.&nbsp;He will also address Canada\u2019s commitment to strengthening its place in the world and global challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This event is part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/fpa\/events\/research-month\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FPA Research Month<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"about-jean-charest\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">杏吧原创 Jean Charest<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>First elected in 1984, Charest is one of Canada\u2019s most recognized political figures. During his political life he served as deputy prime minister, leader of the federal Progressive Conservative Party, leader of the Quebec Liberal Party, and Quebec premier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"about-the-dick-ruth-and-judy-bell-lecture\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">杏吧原创 the Dick, Ruth and Judy Bell Lecture<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dick, Ruth, and Judy Bell Lecture is an annual event that honours the contributions of individuals to the political and public life of Canada.
