Interviews with organizers can be arranged.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visual Arts Showcase<\/strong><br>\n<strong>When<\/strong>: Tuesday, Feb. 20 to Thursday, Feb. 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.<br>\n<strong>Where<\/strong>: Room 4012, Faculty of Social Sciences Building, University of Ottawa<br>\n<strong>Info<\/strong>: All pieces of the visual arts showcase have been created by youth with lived experiences of homelessness or at-risk youth. Art will be for sale throughout the conference; all proceeds go directly back to the artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong> Forum Theatre Performance by Partnering for Change<br>\nWhen<\/strong>: Wednesday, Feb. 21 from 12:15 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.<br>\n<strong>Where<\/strong>: Room 4007, Faculty of Social Sciences Building, University of Ottawa<br>\n<strong>Info:<\/strong> The research project <em>Partnering for Change<\/em> will present a Forum Theatre performance that examines the intersection of disability, education and employment among homeless youth from Toronto, Hamilton and Niagara. This performance was created by young people who have been homeless and who have intellectual, developmental or learning disabilities. The scenes reflect their experiences using social services. Youth participants are available for interviews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Youth-Led Walking Tours <\/strong><br>\n<strong>When<\/strong>: Thursday, Feb. 22 from 12:15p.m. to 1:15 p.m.<br>\n<strong>Where<\/strong>: Tours begin close to the registration tables, Fourth Floor of the Faculty of Social Sciences Building<strong>, <\/strong>University of Ottawa<br>\n<strong>Info<\/strong>: Ottawa-based young people who have experienced homelessness will lead attendees on a walking tour of the city. They will explore issues like criminalizing public space, the effects of gentrification, survival sex work and the resilience required to live on Ottawa streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three walking tours led by conference participants Corinne, Charlotte and Holly, will be open to the media. Tour leader Charlotte will be available to participate in media interviews following the tour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Where Do We Go from Here<\/strong><strong>? Session Hosted by A Way Home Canada<\/strong><strong><br>\nWhen<\/strong>: Thursday, Feb. 22 from 1:15 p.m. to 4 p.m.<br>\n<strong>Where<\/strong>: Room 2005, Faculty of Social Sciences Building, University of Ottawa<br>\n<strong>Info<\/strong>: The facilitated engagement session <em>Where do we go from here? Working together to refine provincial approaches to youth homelessness,<\/em> hosted by A Way Home Canada, intends to move the conference from talk to action. The stakeholder discussion will seek to refine Ontario\u2019s response to youth homelessness. The session will be introduced by Adam Vaughan,&nbsp;MP for Spadina-Fort York and parliamentary secretary to the Minister of Families, Children and Social Development (Housing and Urban Affairs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Closing Plenary Panel<\/strong><br>\n<strong>When<\/strong>: Thursday, Feb. 22 from 4:15 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.<br>\n<strong>Where<\/strong>: Room 2005, Faculty of Social Sciences Building, University of Ottawa<br>\n<strong>Info<\/strong>: The closing panel will discuss lessons learned and address solutions to youth homelessness, ranging from immediate interventions to preventative strategies designed to stop youth homelessness before it begins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coming-up-together.ca\/426-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">full conference schedule<\/a> can be found online.
