Her current projects analyze how photography and social media shape public understanding. As primary investigator of <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/populistpublics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Populist Publics<\/a>, Evans examines how historical misremembering functions as a form of misinformation in contemporary authoritarian and populist movements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Evans has been inducted as an RSC Fellow. An associate professor in the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/cee\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/npsia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Norman Paterson School of International Affairs<\/a>, she is recognized for bridging engineering and public policy to inform urgent, effective and equitable climate action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her research examines how effective and inclusive institutions and participatory research enhance the transformational potential of climate adaptation. A highly cited scholar with over 50,000 citations, his pioneering research has shaped industrial standards and has been implemented in products and services.
