The time commitment for volunteer shifts ranges from 3-5 hours starting from the afternoon into the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">R<\/strong><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">oles available:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Event setup<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ticket sales (raffle table, admission table)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monitor (food and drinks, bidding)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bartender<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Event takedown<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em class=\"myprefix-text-italic\"><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Volunteers receive free admission<\/strong><\/em> and are encouraged to stay and enjoy the art show before or after their shifts. It\u00a0asks the questions so many of us avoid:\u00a0How can we talk about death? What is a good death? Does the body need help to die? What is the hospice effect?\u00a0What quality of life is enough for us? Where do we want to die? What is a conscious death? Could we have one?\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through stories from professionals who have spent their careers at the bedside, &#8220;<em>Saying Goodbye<\/em>&#8221; opens the door to good conversations about what is possible as we pass from this life, and what that may look like for us and our loved ones.
