The main research areas of our group include the characterization of biomaterials, tissues and cells. We want to understand extracellular matrix remodelling and develop in vitro 3D tissue models to understand fundamental mechanisms of diseases. We rely on microscopy and spectroscopy to gather information about the tissue structure at the same time we develop image analysis strategies. The tools we develop are useful in answering relevant biological questions related to the assessment of tissue function during normal and pathological conditions as well as in response to treatments.

If you are interested in learning more about the research done at Tissue Engineering and BioImaging Lab, please contact me!

Monday, June 3, 2024
Two graduate students from our team were awarded prestigious scholarships!
