CERIS, a partner of Metropolis,\u00a0 invites applications from recent and prospective PhDs to present their dissertation findings about migration and settlement at a workshop to be held on June 11, 2014 at York University, Toronto. During the workshop, participants will also receive hands-on training on how to write plain language research summaries. Following the workshop, CERIS will publish two-page summaries of the presented dissertations in its Research Summaries series at: http:\/\/www.ceris.metropolis.net\/?p=3743.
\nThis will be an opportunity for emerging scholars to discuss recent migration and settlement research with peers, learn how to write research summaries for future knowledge mobilization, and disseminate research to a wider audience via research summaries.<\/p>\n
Eligibility Rules:<\/strong><\/p>\n In order to be eligible to present, applicants must have defended or expect to defend their doctoral dissertations:<\/p>\n Submission Guidelines:<\/strong><\/p>\n Applicants should email an abstract of their dissertation with its title, actual or expected date of defence, supervisor\u2019s name or postdoctoral supervisor\u2019s name, and originating program and university or hosting program and university in the case of postdocs to:<\/p>\n Applicants will be contacted during the week of May 12, 2014.<\/p>\n Please note that presenters will be responsible for their travel and accommodation expenses and arrangements.
