The 2016-17 Marston LaFrance Research Fellowship has been awarded to MDS scholar and Professor of Sociology Daiva Stasiulis<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fellowship was established in 1979 in memory of Marston LaFrance, former ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ Dean of Arts, and is intended as the \u201csenior\u201d award for faculty in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences<\/a> with a very significant track record of outstanding research. It is awarded in order to facilitate the completion of a major research project that requires significant release time, and Prof. Stasiulis will use the fellowship to complete work on her book, The Emotional Cartography of Citizenship: The Lebanese Diaspora in the Shadow of War<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
