Mohamad is an Assistant Professor of Statistics and Data Science at ÐÓ°ÉÔ´´ University (Canada). Previously, Mohamad was a Research Associate and Science Lead at the , where he contributed to the AI for Numerical Weather Prediction (AI4NWP) programme. Mohamad also held positions at the as an NSERC postdoctoral fellow and as a postdoctoral fellow at Department of Decision Sciences and .
Mohamad earned a PhD in Statistics from , under David Stephens, with research focusing on statistical network analysis and graphical models. His expertise lies at the intersection of statistical theory and computation, machine learning, and network analysis.
In addition to academic roles, he has significant industry experience, including as a Data Scientist at , where he led initiatives to improve traffic prediction models. He collaborated with the to support the development of a Bayesian computational model to measure the variability of system trips within a CANDU nuclear reactor.
