The Refugee Law Project is pleased to announce its ninth Regional Conference on Forced Migration, taking place on October 7-8, 2025, under the theme:\u00a0\u201cFrom Rights to Reality: Implementing Justice and Ensuring Accountability for Children in Uganda.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

This year\u2019s conference will showcase inclusive and transformative approaches to the challenges facing both refugee and host community children in Uganda. While all children are vulnerable to exploitation and abuse, refugee children face heightened risks due to language barriers, lack of documentation, and limited social support networks. Many also struggle to access justice, encountering procedural delays, inadequate legal representation, corruption, and a lack of child-friendly systems; all of which can deepen trauma and block accountability.<\/p>\n
