Who and what is left out of the law is indicative of the overall relationship between law and its subjects. How does the effect of exclusion arise in law, and how does the exclusion reflect the integrity of the system? Are certain exclusions intentional, incidental, or systemic? How do social, political, cultural, and economic issues find expression in the ways people, groups, and communities are excluded?
