Dr. Maggi is a researcher, educator, and a children\u2019s rights advocate. She is cross-appointed between the Childhood and Youth Studies program and the Department of Psychology at ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University, where she teaches courses on the psychology of climate change, children\u2019s rights, nature connection, and research methods. Her research, teaching, and advocacy focus on the psychological dimensions of climate change; mental health impacts of climate change; career development and green guidance; climate change education; and immersive technologies as tools to support meaningful engagement with climate action.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Maggi is the founder of Mochi4theplanet<\/a>, a youth-centered intergenerational initiative promoting mental health and children\u2019s rights in the context of the climate crisis, and The Luna Moth Circle<\/a>, an intergenerational network of scholars, community groups, and youth organizations dedicated to advancing climate change education, mental health expertise, and strengthening the capacity of professionals who support children, youth and families.  She is an executive member of the Landon Pearson Centre for the Studies of Childhood and Children\u2019s Rights<\/a>; a member of the Child Rights Academic Network,<\/a> the Pickering Centre for Human Development<\/a>, the Climate Psychology Alliance North America<\/a>, and Teachers for Future International<\/a>.
