Thank you to UNICEF Canada for hosting an incredible Youth Advocacy Summit on National Child Day that brought together inspiring young people in a space of dialogue with adults from government, academe, advocacy and practitioner sectors. Young people discussed issues including health and healthcare, mental health and discrimination and racism.

Ambassador , and Minister were some of the guests who listened to young people at the Summit and responded to their concerns demonstrating how young people’s perspectives are important to the work they do on behalf of children and young people.

Thank you to for inviting Virginia Caputo, Director of the Landon Pearson Centre, to the event.

Landon Pearson Centre Partners with Saskatchewan Soccer to Host Shaking the Movers

The Landon Pearson Centre, in partnership with  Saskatchewan Soccer and Canada Soccer, is hosting Shaking theMovers today for the first time inSaskatoon! This youth-led and youth-driven event enables young people to discuss issues important to them, to learn about the Convention on the Rights of the Child and to reach adult decision-makers who make decisions on their behalf.  This year’s theme is “Building Our Communities of Care.”

We are thrilled that Saskatchewan Soccer Association is the first sports organization in Canada to engage young people with the UN-CRC through the Shaking the Movers workshop series!
