Then, when videos are <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/kaltura\/publish-your-media\/\">shared with your audience<\/a>, they are played within that same player.<\/p>\n<p>The Kaltura Player may provide you with multiple interactive viewing options, such as Picture-in-Picture, Side-by-Side, and other displays depending on how the video was recorded. Note that this feature is only available when <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/kaltura\/mediaspace\/edit-your-media\/create-chapters\/\">chapters have been created using Kaltura&#8217;s timeline<\/a>. The Kaltura Player\u2019s navigation menu opens up the chapters and displays the slides for the Kaltura CaptureSpace recording.<\/p>\n<h4>Slides and Chapters<\/h4>\n<p>You can browse through the chapters and slides in the recording in the Navigation Panel. You can click on a chapter or slide to jump to that point in the recording.<\/p>\n<h4>Search<\/h4>\n<p>Use the Search option to find specific content or specific slides in the presentation. You can choose to view them as Picture in Picture, or Side by Side. Regardless of the view you choose, both streams are synchronized to the same point in time.<br \/>\n<\/p><\/dd><dl><\/div>\n<div class=\"slideme\"><dl class=\"slideme__list\"><dt class=\"slideme__term\"><a href=\"#slideme-dual-stream-for-dual-stream-videos\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"slideme-dual-stream-for-dual-stream-videos\" class=\"slideme__heading slideme__trigger\">Dual Stream for Dual Stream Videos<\/a><\/dt><dd class=\"slideme__description\" id=\"slideme-dual-stream-for-dual-stream-videos\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><p><\/p>\n<p>Kaltura provides the ability to run 2 streams side by side (presentation\u00a0or\u00a0video as second screen).\u00a0You can choose to view them as Picture in Picture, or Side by Side.\u00a0Max of 2 videos streams playing together. If the cue-points are presented (presentation) only one video can play in\u00a0parallel.<\/p>\n<p>Only the main stream can include an audio file &#8211; the second stream is muted by default.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Limitations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The following are current limitations for the dual stream player:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>IE7\/IE8 are not supported. (including compatibility modes)<\/li>\n<li>Assumes all streams have the same audio track and the audio track is part of each stream<\/li>\n<li>Assumes captions files are added to all streams, not just the main stream<\/li>\n<li>Not supported on iPhone or Android<\/li>\n<li>Supports up to 5 connected streams (5 videos or 4 videos + slides)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p><\/dd><dl><\/div>\n<div class=\"slideme\"><dl class=\"slideme__list\"><dt class=\"slideme__term\"><a href=\"#slideme-viewing-machine-captions-and-closed-captions\" aria-expanded=\"false\" aria-controls=\"slideme-viewing-machine-captions-and-closed-captions\" class=\"slideme__heading slideme__trigger\">Viewing Machine Captions and Closed Captions<\/a><\/dt><dd class=\"slideme__description\" id=\"slideme-viewing-machine-captions-and-closed-captions\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><p><\/p>\n<p>All recording uploaded to Kaltura will automatically have machine transcriptions applied to the media.. Machine transcriptions are created when the server attempts to create text from human speech. This transcription will have errors and is not considered a true closed caption under AODA guidelines.\u00a0 The owner of the media has the option of correcting the machine transcription if they wish to do so. The owner also can upload actual closed captions if they wish.
