I obtained my Ph.D. in Computer Science, from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.queensu.ca\/\">Queen\u2019s University<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cs.queensu.ca\">School of Computing<\/a>, under the supervision of Prof. <a href=\"https:\/\/research.cs.queensu.ca\/home\/cordy\/\">James Cordy<\/a> (2020). I received my bachelor\u2019s degree in Software Engineering, and my master\u2019s degree in Information Technology.<\/p>\n<p>For my doctoral dissertation, focused on synthesis of state machine models, I received the 2019 Queen\u2019s School of Computing PhD Research Achievement Award and the IEEE PhD Research Excellence Award. Following my doctorate, I worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/engineering.uottawa.ca\/school-EECS\">School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science,<\/a>\u00a0at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uottawa.ca\/en\">University of Ottawa<\/a>, with Prof. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lbriand.info\">Lionel Briand<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>My research interests are primarily in the area of software and AI-based system testing, applications of ML\/AI in software engineering, and software security.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assistant Professor Email:\u00a0 kahani at sce . carleton . ca Department of Systems and Computer Engineering Faculty of Engineering and Design 杏吧原创 University 1125 Colonel By Drive Ottawa, ON K1S 5B6 Canada Short Bio I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering, 杏吧原创 University.
