However, end users can sometimes fast track a scheduled update manually.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure that your Windows 10 PC is up to date with the latest Microsoft Windows updates follow the steps below:<\/p>\n<h3>Windows 10<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Open Start \u21d2 Microsoft System Center \u21d2\u00a0Software Center<\/li>\n<li>Go to the Updates section menu (left menu)<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Install All<\/strong> (top right button)<\/li>\n<li>After the updates have installed, restart the computer when prompted by the software.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">For \u00a0PC\u2019s <em><strong>not<\/strong> on the CUNET domain<\/em>, to check for updates:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li2\"><span class=\"s1\">Open Start \u21d2 Click on the Settings Icon <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-22546 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/its\/wp-content\/uploads\/image001.png\" alt=\"settings\" width=\"26\" height=\"26\" \/>\u00a0 \u21d2 Update &amp; Security \u21d2 <b>Check for updates<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p3\">Windows 7<\/h3>\n<p>To ensure that your Windows 7 PC is up to date with the latest Microsoft Windows updates follow the steps below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Click the Start\u00a0Menu<\/li>\n<li>In the <strong>Search Bar<\/strong>, search for Windows Update<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>Windows Update<\/strong> from the top of the search list<\/li>\n<li>Click on the <strong>Check for Updates<\/strong> button. \u00a0Select any updates that are found to install.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ITS regularly pushes Microsoft updates to all PC\u2019s on the CUNET domain.
