ITS regularly pushes Microsoft updates to all PC’s on the CUNET domain. However, end users can sometimes fast track a scheduled update manually.

To ensure that your Windows 10 PC is up to date with the latest Microsoft Windows updates follow the steps below:

Windows 10

  • Open Start ⇒ Microsoft System Center ⇒ Software Center
  • Go to the Updates section menu (left menu)
  • Click Install All (top right button)
  • After the updates have installed, restart the computer when prompted by the software.

For  PC’s not on the CUNET domain, to check for updates:

  • Open Start ⇒ Click on the Settings Icon settings  ⇒ Update & Security ⇒ Check for updates

If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available.

Windows 7

To ensure that your Windows 7 PC is up to date with the latest Microsoft Windows updates follow the steps below:

  • Click the Start Menu
  • In the Search Bar, search for Windows Update
  • Select the Windows Update from the top of the search list
  • Click on the Check for Updates button.  Select any updates that are found to install.

If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available.
