Congratulations to Cultural Mediations alumna, Dr. <\/span>Trina<\/span><\/span> <\/span>Cooper-Bolam, who was recently awarded a prestigious Banting Postdoctoral Research Fellowship. Her postdoctoral research project, <\/span>Storied Transformations: Decolonizing Inherited Space through Memorial Performance<\/i>, builds upon her doctoral work at ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´.<\/p>\n\n\n

Responding to the priorities of Children of Shingwauk Alumni Association, the Survivors of the Shingwauk Indian Residential School, <\/span>Storied Transformations <\/span><\/i>is a research-creation and pedagogical project of transdisciplinary Indigenous\/settler research collaboration that investigates and reveals the evidentiary landscape of the Shingwauk Indian Industrial and Residential Schools. Using land-based learning, praxiological museology, and other cultural, creative, and performative methods developed for the project\u2019s experiential field-schools exchange program, <\/span>Storied Transformations<\/i> <\/span>deploys pedagogies from diverse disciplines to engage students in building and supporting Survivor-driven, technologically-enhanced, in situ interpretation, memorialization, and Indigenous place-(re)making.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
