Public History graduate student Allison Smith has recently won the Association of Canadian Map Libraries and Archives (ACMLA) student paper competition, with her exhibit submission entitled “Champlain’s Maps as Texts,” prepared as part of “Champlain in the Anishinabe Aki, a Digital Repository.” The project was completed as a part of HIST 5700: Introduction to Public History in Fall 2013. Allison’s exhibit will be published in the next issue of the ACMLA’s bulletin, and she has been invited to speak at the ACMLA conference in Montreal this coming June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
