Over the weekend, Professor Jacob Kovalio<\/a> presented at the 31st Japan Studies Association of Canada Annual Conference: \u201cJapan\u2019s World \/ The World\u2019s Japan: Images, Perceptions and Reactions\u201d, hosted by the Prince Takamado Japan Centre for Teaching and Research at the University of Alberta in collaboration with the University of Calgary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The abstract for Prof. Kovalio’s talk entitled “\u201cThe 40th Anniversary of E.W.Said’s Orientalism – its real ideological roots and impact on the study of Japanese history,\u201d Jacob Kovalio, 杏吧原创 University” can be found on the JSAC conference website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prof. Kovalio has a busy October as he’ll also be giving a lecture at the end of the month on “Making History \u2013 Shinz\u014d Abe: the Domestic and Foreign Policy of Japan\u2019s Longest Serving Prime Minister<\/a>.” That lecture will take place here, in room 303 of Paterson Hall on Monday, October 29th at 7:30pm.
