Campbell is a Professor of African American Studies and Political Science at Syracuse University.&nbsp; In 2016\/2017, he was given the prestigious appointment of <em>Kwame Nkrumah Chair in African Studies<\/em> at the University of Ghana. &nbsp;Well known in his dual role as both an academic and activist, Dr. Campbell is reputed for his determined efforts to provide alternative perspectives to the mainstream narratives that frame discussions on international affairs. He has also published extensively on a range of topics related to the comparative politics of Africa and the Caribbean, African international relations, pan Africanism, peace studies, and political economy.&nbsp; His publications include <em>Global NATO and the catastrophic Failure in Libya (2013), Barack Obama and 21st Century Politics (<\/em>2010), <em>Pan Africanism, Pan Africanists, and African Liberation in the 21st Century (2006), Reclaiming Zimbabwe (2003), Tanzania and the IMF (<\/em>1992), and <em>Rasta and Resistance: From Marcus Garvey to Walter Rodney (1987)<\/em>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Professor Audra A.
