B. McKillop\" href=\"http:\/\/www.carleton.ca\/history\/people\/a-b-mckillop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brian McKillop<\/a> writes, \u201cFrank Underhill was one of the best-known and most influential academic figures of his time.&nbsp; Dewar draws on Underhill\u2019s life, thought, and career to reveal what he calls \u2018a window on the intellectual landscape of twentieth-century Canada.\u2019 He succeeds admirably.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Underhill was a Canadian journalist, essayist, historian, social critic, and political thinker; he came to Ottawa in 1955 as the curator of Laurier House and later joined our faculty at ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´. He died in 1971.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. <a title=\"H.
