For the past twenty years graduate students in the Department of History<\/a> at 杏吧原创 University<\/a> have organized an annual colloquium in which master’s and doctoral students from all disciplines are invited to present papers on any history-related topic. The primary objective of the colloquium is to facilitate the original research of graduate students by providing a public forum for the presentation of their work. In addition, the colloquium is designed to promote dialogue between those in different disciplines and to encourage interaction between faculty and graduate students. Participating graduate students will present some of their original research in a 15-20 minute talk, hear valuable commentary on their work and gain experience for future conference presentations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One noted feature of the colloquium is a keynote address delivered by a distinguished guest speaker. We are pleased to announce Dr. Magdalena Kazubowski-Houston<\/a>,<\/strong> of the Department of Theatre of York University as our keynote speaker for 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From March 5-7, 2015, graduate students in the Department of History, 杏吧原创 University, will be hosting the 21st<\/sup> Annual Underhill Colloquium.   This year\u2019s theme, \u201cPASTS ECHOING PRESENTS: HISTORIANS AS PERFORMATIVE COLLABORATORS,\u201d highlights the historian\u2019s multiple performed roles, and specifically our roles as collaborators \u2013 with our sources, with the past, and with the present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
