The one-day conference focuses on the impact of thalidomide in Canada and Africa. The event will be held in the History Lounge, 433 Paterson Hall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The welcoming remarks begin at 10:00 AM, and will be followed by two speakers, Alexandra Niblock, from 10:30-12:00 noon, and Julie Parle, from 1:00-2:30 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Julie Parle&#8217;s presentation is co-sponsored by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carleton.ca\/iis\/\">Institute of Interdisciplinary Studies\/Disability Studies<\/a>.
