The first workshop covers applications for academic jobs, and the second covers applications for alternative-to-academic (alt-ac) jobs. Attend both sessions if you can!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preparing the Job Application (Part One): Academic Jobs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monday, November 5, 2018<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2:00 \u2013 3:30pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sociology and Anthropology Department Lounge<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This seminar provides information about putting together an academic job application, with a particular focus on tenure-track positions. We will discuss various components of the academic application (e.g., curriculum vitae, cover letter, research statement, teaching dossier), and differences between research- and teaching-stream applications.
