This workshop will provide some best practices for psychologically orienting yourself and the people around you towards finishing the dissertation, an outline of the surprisingly long timelines involved in the wind-down, some suggestions for \u201cmanaging-up\u201d your supervisor and committee, a chance to realistically assess where you\u2019re starting from in terms of the dissertation completion, and some hands-on time-planning for the coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please bring a print-out of what you have of the dissertation as of August 15<sup>th<\/sup>, your table of contents if you have it, spare paper, and writing implements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you wish to attend remotely, please email <a href=\"mailto:alexis.shotwell@carleton.ca\">alexis.shotwell@carleton.ca<\/a> and we will let you know how to beam in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Planning to finish your dissertation this year August 15th, 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Loeb A715 Are you planning to complete your PhD dissertation in the next year?
