In this hands-on workshop, you will \u2013 as if by magic \u2013 generate a working title, complete a first draft of the statement of purpose, sketch your methodology, make a plan for which recommenders you will ask to write for you, and commit to keeping to the word length and margins appropriate to the application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please bring whatever tools you use to write with \u2013 pen &amp; paper, laptop, etc. If you will not be in town yet, please email &lt;<a href=\"mailto:alexis.shotwell@carleton.ca\">alexis.shotwell@carleton.ca<\/a>&gt; and we will let you know how to beam in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Coming up next week: a grant writing workshop that is open to all FASS graduate students.
