Open access journals are an alternative to the current user-pay system for accessing academic research. Fees are charged to the author\/creator in order to make them open and accessible. This award is designed to offset these publishing fees for graduate students. Up to five monetary awards of $1000.00 will be distributed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any GSA member who has had a paper published or accepted (pending minor revisions) in an open access journal since January 1, 2016, can apply.
