Once the Departmental Administrator receives notification that you have accepted the initial offer she will then start the online contract process. \u00a0Please keep in mind that if you do not have a Banner ID one will need to be generated which may delay the submission of the contract.\u00a0 Once the electronic contract has been submitted online you will then be able to follow the steps below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contracts are now processed electronically through the new online contract system.&nbsp; For all new and returning contract instructors please ensure your 杏吧原创 email account and My杏吧原创 One account is active.&nbsp; For initial setup of a new account or to re-activate your account please go to <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/fasscsu\/generalinfo\/computer-support-on-campus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Getting Started with IT at 杏吧原创 University<\/a>.&nbsp; When the electronic contract is ready to be viewed and accepted the notification will be sent to your 杏吧原创 email account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Electronic Contract Information Guide&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow the information guide to view and accept <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/geography\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/108\/Contract-Instructor-Brochure.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">your online contract<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;Once your contract is finalized and you have a Banner ID you can go to the Campus Card office [407 Unicentre] to obtain your Contract Instructor card which will allow you accesses to the library.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are uncertain about\u00a0what stage the online\u00a0contract is in please contact\u00a0the Departmental Administrator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"ci-handbook\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/geography\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/108\/CI-Handbook-2019-2020-1.pdf\">CI Handbook<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This manual is intended to provide some advice on how to settle into your new position. It will also address&nbsp;common questions raised by past CIs,&nbsp;on-campus resources,&nbsp;designing your course outline,&nbsp;teaching tips, and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Mandatory Training for All Contract Instructors<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Governed by the Ministry of Labour, all 杏吧原创 University employees including Contract Instructors&nbsp;are required to complete an online training on Workplace Violence and Harassment Prevention.&nbsp; The training&nbsp;need only be completed&nbsp;once during your career at 杏吧原创. &nbsp;Access to the training is through 杏吧原创 Central,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Go to the Employee Service Tab<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>click on Learning and Development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click on Online courses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select \u201cWorkplace Violence and Harassment Prevention Training\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It will take approximately 20 min to complete the training<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The training will be recorded on 杏吧原创 Central\u2019s database and will be verified and monitored on a weekly basis.&nbsp; Anyone who does not complete the training will be notified.&nbsp; If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Nancy Delcellier via email <a href=\"mailto:nancy.delcellier@carleton.ca\">nancy.delcellier@carleton.ca<\/a> or by phone at ext. 1108<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>cuLearn Training and Support for Instructors<br>\n<\/b>The Education Development Cente (EDC) provides training, support, instructional tools and resources to serve instructors teaching needs and&nbsp;development as an educator.
