We are looking for volunteers for an individual based interview study. This project aims to explore how lesbian identified individuals both construct and understand their sexual identity through their engagement with social media. The study takes place on zoom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The study aims to understand how lesbian identified individuals both understand and construct their sexual identity through their social media engagement. Specifically, how they engage and maintain their identity online through the creation of their profile and posts. You will be asked to participate in a one-hour individual interview on zoom and to both screenshare and scroll through either or both your X and Instagram accounts. You will be asked questions about the creation of your social media accounts, typical social media posts you engage with, and your attitudes and beliefs about LGBTQ+ posts. Please note that the interviews will be both video and audio-recorded and transcribed to ensure accuracy. If you do not wish to be recorded, then you should not agree to participate in this study. Participants, however, can consent whether they do or do not want to share specific screenshots of their posts from their social media feed to the research study if asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
