For the last year and a half, FIST<\/a> Adjunct Research Professor Dr. Ryan Conrad<\/a> has been working with Artexte<\/a> to digitize and preserve the long out of print book A Leap in the Dark: AIDS, Art and Contemporary Cultures<\/a> which was edited by Allan Klusa\u010dek and Ken Morrison back in 1992. The book came out of the cultural interventions at the Montreal International AIDS Conference<\/a> in 1989 and was a significant contribution to the literature about cultural resistance and HIV\/AIDS activism\u2014particularly within Canada. This World AIDS Day \/ Day With(out) Art, Dr. Conrad and Artexte have launched the reissued book as an ebook on its thirtieth anniversary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
