\n Looking Back on PJIWGS 2021-22 Events\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

The pandemic has disrupted many aspects of our programming over the last two years, but we have been able to provide a robust roster of events<\/a> this year. We have hosted Feminist Futures lectures by our new faculty members Manjeet Birk<\/a> and Fady Shanouda<\/a> and a discussion in connection with the September 30 National Day of Truth and Reconciliation<\/a>. We marked International Women\u2019s Day on March 8 by hosting a celebration of the writings of bell hooks and Lee Maracle<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 22 we hosted Canada Research Chair in Black Studies at Queen\u2019s University, Katherine McKittrick, for our 2022 Flo Bird Lecture<\/a> in a conversation about her book Dear Science and Other Stories<\/em> and her institutional work in Black Studies. And on May 6-7, our graduate students hosted a conference titled \u201cCommunal Conversations: A Roundtable Symposium on the Future of Knowledge-Making<\/a>\u201d with presentations by ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ students and community members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
