Nyi Nyi Kyaw is a political scientist from Myanmar. He served as a fellow at the Kulturwissenschaftliches Institut Essen (KWI)\/Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities in Germany, where he contributed to a project titled “Understanding Causes and Dynamics of Revolutions: The Myanmar Spring Revolution.” Additionally, he held an honorary fellowship at the Peter McMullin Centre on Statelessness at the University of Melbourne.<\/p>\n
After earning his PhD in international and political studies from the University of New South Wales, Nyi Nyi assumed roles as a postdoctoral research fellow and adjunct assistant professor at the National University of Singapore during the periods of 2016\u201318 and 2020, respectively. Furthermore, he was affiliated with the ISEAS\u2013Yusof Ishak Institute in Singapore as a visiting fellow from June 2019 until December 2020.<\/p>\n
Throughout his career, Nyi Nyi has made significant contributions to academia. He has authored papers in esteemed peer-reviewed journals such as Social Identities, Journal of Immigrant and Refugee Studies, and Review of Faith & International Affairs. Additionally, he has written book chapters covering diverse topics such as citizenship, nationalism, and constitutional change in Myanmar.<\/p>\n
