She holds a master&#8217;s degree in social work from the University of Ottawa and earned her PhD in the same discipline from the University of Montreal. Prior to her academic career, she served as an assistant social worker for five years in Lebanon.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Matta&#8217;s research primarily centers on family intervention services, exploring the role of families in special education, and examining the identity of social services within schools.
