Students will receive a stipend of $10,000 (less legislated deductions) over the course of the summer.&nbsp; The expectation is that the research project undertaken will constitute a full-time commitment for 16 weeks from May to August 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"eligibility\">Eligibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Students must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have an overall GPA of 9.0;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have at least second year standing in their undergraduate program;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be taking a major in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (double-majors see below*);&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete work in Ontario and maintain legal authorization to work in Canada for the duration of the program;&nbsp;<ul><li>Students who will be graduating in June 2026 are eligible to apply for the program<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>International students should reach out to the International Student Services Office (ISSO) for assistance and clarification of eligibility to participate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>International students graduating in 2026 interested in applying should reach out to the International Student Services Office (ISSO) for information on maintaining authorization to work in Canada&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>*If a student has two majors, one of the two must be in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.&nbsp; Students are only eligible for CUROP funding in one faculty and may not hold separate CUROP-funded positions in different faculties. Students who have received a previous CUROP award are not eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"application_information_(deadline:_february_28,_2025)\">Application Information (Deadline: February 27, 2026)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Students are invited to submit a research project that they propose to work on during the summer of 2026 in collaboration with a full-time FASS faculty member.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications should be submitted in\u00a0<strong>one document<\/strong>\u00a0and sent via email to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:emmafraser@cunet.carleton.ca?subject=CUROP%20\">Emma Fraser<\/a>.
