Her current research aims to understand how urban environmental stressors impact bee morphological traits and how we can use this knowledge to integrate bee conservation efforts with urban planning.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-731\" src=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/fahriglab\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sandara-sized-240x183.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"183\" srcset=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/fahriglab\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sandara-sized-240x183.jpg 240w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/fahriglab\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sandara-sized-160x122.jpg 160w, https:\/\/carleton.ca\/fahriglab\/wp-content\/uploads\/Sandara-sized.jpg 301w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 240px) 100vw, 240px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Alison Ochs is an ecologist studying the effects of roads on wildlife. For her postdoctoral work, she aims to estimate the total number of vertebrate animals killed annually on roads worldwide.
