Dr. Lenore Fahrig and her collaborators, fellow GLEL directors, (D. King, S. Mitchell and K. Lindsay) have been awarded an NSERC Strategic Project grant for a period of three years on the proposed subject of: Landscape indicators and agri-environmental policies for biodiversity enhancement on <\/em>agricultural lands<\/em>.<\/p>\n

One purpose of this study is to establish and investigate policies and certain practices that would enable farmers to keep the same level of agricultural output whilst enhancing biodiversity. Examining these policies allows the evaluation of their efficacy on maintaining or improving biodiversity on farmlands and agriculture sites.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
