\"aWith over twenty-thousand citations in her name, Dr. Fahrig\u2019s work continues to show significance in the field of landscape, habitat and ecological research. Among her publications, her review titled, \u201cEffects of Habitat Fragmentation on Biodiversity\u201d<\/a> (2003), has become one her most significant work with over three-thousand citations (by Google Scholar) and a Journal Impact Factor of 11.0 (2013).<\/p>\n

It was named the Outstanding Paper in Landscape Ecology in 2005, as well as achieved a spot in the top five most cited papers in the journal Annual Reviews of Ecology, Evolution and Systematics.<\/p>\n

This review examined available literature and information on the subject of the effects of habitat fragmentation on biodiversity which had dynamic effects towards further research in fragmentation and its application.
