The following licensed professionals do not constitute consulting services: medical doctors, veterinarians, engineers, architects, accountants, lawyers and notaries.<\/p>\n<h3>Why is this important?<\/h3>\n<p>It is important for the University to properly classify consultants or <a href=\"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/facts\/independent-contractor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">independent contractors<\/a>.
