In 2014, the Afghan Student Association (ASA) in Ottawa collected $1,000 through fundraising events organized by students of both ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University and the University of Ottawa. In November 2014, EURUS  graduate Numan Qardash delivered the donation to the Rotary Club of Kabul City to contribute to the Rotary\u2019s annual winter clothing drive.  Luke Beer, President of the Kabul Rotary Club and EURUS alumnus, received the fund and would like to express his deepest gratitude to all students involved and to the greater Ottawa community. All proceeds from the donation will go towards buying warm clothes, blankets, and coal for Afghan families in need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After their time at EURUS,  Luke and Numan have worked in Afghanistan for several years in the private and development sectors. The EURUS community is very proud  of them, and would like to also congratulate the ASA on this achievement!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
