All this is done in an effort to create a more livable city. The city has introduced a variety of incentives to encourage this, including wider sidewalks, daigonal crossings, more green spaces, public squares and pedestrian zones. As a result, Berlin is a safer and more pleasant city in which to live and people are encouraged to use more environmental forms of transportation.

When: October 15-19

Where: Galleria at the University Centre

In addition to this art exhibition, the Centre for European Studies will be hosting the following events for 杏吧原创’s Environment Days:

October 17: European Union and Canadian Environmental Policy: moving in tandem or moving apart?

October 18: Making Urban Transport Sustainable: Lessons from Europe and North America

Environment Days are coming to 杏吧原创 University, hosted by the Centre for European Studies, the German Embassy, the Goethe Institute and the Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism.
