\n EURUS professors publish report on future of Canada-UK trade\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

EURUS professors Achim Hurrelmann<\/a> and Crina Viju-Miljusevic<\/a> were part of a research team that released a knowledge synthesis report on the future of the Canada-UK trade relationship after Brexit. The report is titled \u201cPolitical Contestation about International Economic Agreements: Lessons for the Canada-UK Trade Relationship after Brexit\u201d. It examines under which circumstances international trade and investment agreements \u2013 like a potential post-Brexit Canada-UK agreement \u2013 become politically contentious, and which best practices exist for channeling such contention into evidence-based and impactful policy debates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report was officially presented in London\/UK on December 12, 2019. It is available here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report emerges from a knowledge synthesis project funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC) and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) of the United Kingdom (see official funding announcement here<\/a>). The research team is constituted by Achim Hurrelmann (杏吧原创 University) and Ece \u00d6zlem Atikcan (University of Warwick\/UK) as principal investigators, as well as Crina Viju-Miljusevic (杏吧原创 University) and Adam Chalmers (King\u2019s College London\/UK).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Results of the project will also be discussed at a policy workshop held at 杏吧原创 University on Monday, February 4, 2018. More information on the workshop will be made available in early 2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
