For more information visit the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/co-op\/\">Co-op Services Website.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible&nbsp;you must&nbsp;have successfully completed, by the start-date of the first work term, the required first-year core classes (EURR 5001 and 5010). Please see the <a href=\"http:\/\/calendar.carleton.ca\/grad\/gradprograms\/europeanrussianandeurasianstudies\/\">Graduate Calendar<\/a>&nbsp;for other requirements. One newsletter followed developments in Georgia and Azerbaijan and was produced weekly. I researched our mission reports, internal intelligence reporting, and various open-sourced data &#8230; I also consulted with the Egypt desk officer, the Canadian Embassy in Cairo, and numerous divisions within Global Affairs Canada. I conducted previous research on nuclear disarmament, counter-proliferation, proliferation issues, and national security issues that pertain to Canada and its allies. Being able to apply my knowledge in my work environment was a major plus for me, and is something that I consider necessary to have in any career or job position.<br>\n&#8211; Jessica Passey, EURUS MA<br>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h4 id=\"internship-program\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a id=\"Intern\"><\/a>Internship Program<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Institute administers an optional internship program for 4<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;year undergraduate and Master\u2019s students. Following a selection process, successful applicants are placed with an Ottawa-based organization during the winter semester for, on average, one day per week. Students selected for the internship program also register in a 0.5 credit course EURR 5301\/4206 that supplements the internship experience.
