She writes in French and English and to date has authored a memoir, three novels, an essay, and a critically acclaimed collection of short stories. Monia Mazigh is an Adjunct and Research Professor at ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University in the Department of English Language and Literature, where she is the Writer in Residence for the Winter 2026 term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monia Mazigh was a columnist with ONFr+ and Radio-Canada, and has published several articles with the Ottawa Citizen, the Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star. She regularly contributes to Islamic Horizons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monia Mazigh was recognized in 2025 as an honouree of the <em class=\"myprefix-text-italic\">Ottawa Distinguished Women <\/em>in the category of Lifetime Contribution for her involvement in her community.
