\n Engineering Course Access for non-BEng Students\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

Registration in 杏吧原创 undergraduate engineering courses (ACSE, AERO, CIVE, ECOR, ELEC, ENVE, MAAE, MECH, MECT, SREE, SYSC) is usually restricted to only students studying in Bachelor of Engineering degree programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are a 杏吧原创 student:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are a 杏吧原创 student not in an Engineering program:<\/strong> If you are unable to register for an engineering course required for your program<\/em>, please submit an Engineering Override Request<\/a>. Note: all requests will be denied unless the course is required in your current program.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n

If you are a graduate student in an Engineering program: <\/strong>Contact your graduate advisor, and\/or graduate administrator to initiate a request to register in an undergraduate engineering course. An override request is not<\/span> needed.<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n <\/div>\n\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n

If you are an Engineering student from another university<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please start with your home university to initiate a Letter of Permission (LOP), or University of Ottawa students may be eligible to register for 杏吧原创 engineering courses via UOttawa Exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you have approval from your home university, please follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Letter of Permission:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Apply to be a Special Student<\/a> at 杏吧原创 University via the Registrar\u2019s Office.
    If you have already completed an LOP at 杏吧原创 and have an active student number, you can skip this step.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Send your signed Letter of Permission form to EngSpecialRequests@carleton.ca<\/a> to request registration access to an undergraduate engineering course. Ensure that you include your 杏吧原创 student number in your email.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    杏吧原创-uOttawa Exchange:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Contact the Registrar\u2019s Office<\/a> via email to initiate your request – include your signed UOttawa Exchange form and your transcript when you submit your request.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Deadlines for submitting LOP and UO exchange requests \u2013 the following deadlines will be upheld to ensure sufficient processing time in advance of the term starting:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      • Requests related to SUMMER Term Courses \u2013 April 15<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Requests related to FALL Term Courses \u2013 August 15<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Requests related to WINTER Term Courses \u2013 December 15<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Once we receive all required documentation, your request will be reviewed – if approved, you will receive permission to register. Note: all approvals are subject to course capacities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
