ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ Engineering and Design Ranks Among Canada’s Best in Global 2024 ShanghaiRankings

ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University’s Faculty of Engineering and Design has received global recognition, underscoring its growing reputation as a leader in engineering and design education and research. 

ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´â€™s telecommunications engineering profile was ranked 28th in the world—up four spots from last year—and 3rd in Canada, behind only the University of Waterloo and the University of British Columbia.

ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University’s Faculty of Engineering and Design (FED) has moved up two spots to No. 10 in Canada in the . FED’s electronics engineering profile ranked No. 4 in Canada, and for the first time, our civil engineering profile was ranked No. 9 nationally. 

The U.S. News & World Report, a U.S.-based media company known for education analysis and global rankings, placed ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´â€™s Faculty of Engineering and Design in the top 30 per cent of engineering schools worldwide. The rankings are based solely on academic research performance and international reputation.

Since last July, ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ University engineering student Leah Penny has been putting in long hours at the Red Bull Racing Technology Campus in Milton Keynes, England, a small city northwest of London.

Penny, who is nearing the finish line of a year-long co-op position, has been helping design components for a new internal combustion engine for Red Bull Racing’s Formula One car and has also been of a member of the team that’s designing part of the physical structure of the engine.
