University of Ottawa) is featured in today&#8217;s print version of the Ottawa Citizen and the online version for her community and philanthropic work. In the article titled <a href=\"https:\/\/ottawacitizen.com\/opinion\/columnists\/q-a-ottawas-najia-haneefi-talks-about-education-gender-equality-and-afghanistan\">&#8220;Q &amp; A: Ottawa&#8217;s Najia Haneefi talks about education, gender equality and Afghanistan&#8221;<\/a> Najia shares her experiences as a founding member of the Ottawa chapter of <a href=\"https:\/\/cw4wafghan.ca\/\">Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan<\/a>, which aims to provide gender equitable quality education and work towards improving human rights conditions in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to her philanthropic work Najia has worked as the Graduate Administrator in the Department of Economics for the past 3 years, helping students in our graduate programs from the time they apply to our programs until graduation and beyond.
