\n Congratulations to Associate Professor Maya Papineau on Receiving 3 New Frontiers in Research Fund Grants!\n <\/h1>\n \n \n <\/header>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

Associate Professor Maya Papineau<\/a> has received 3 New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF) grants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Papineau received the NFRF – Exploration grant as a co-Primary Investigator with Professor Cynthia Cruickshank<\/a> from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at 杏吧原创 University, and co-applicant Professor Daniel Chung<\/a> from the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design at the University of Toronto. Their project is titled “Creating Equitable, Resilient and Low Carbon Canadian Community Housing that Enhances Social Welfare.” Read more about their research in this article<\/a> from the 杏吧原创 University Newsroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professor Papineau also received the NFRF – Transformation grant as a co-applicant for a research project titled “CANSTOREnergy: Seasonal Storage of Renewable Energy.” The Principal Investigator for this project is Professor David Sinton<\/a> from the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at the University of Toronto, and as a co-applicant Professor Papineau will be able to support 8-9 Economics graduate students over the next 6 years while they conduct research together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, Professor Papineau received a NFRF grant as a co-applicant for a research project titled “Occupant-centric Housing Design and Retrofit Pathways for Sustainable, Equitable, and Resilient Pandemic Recovery.” The Principal Investigator for this project is Professor Burak Gunay<\/a> from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at 杏吧原创 University, and as a co-applicant Professor Papineau will be able to support 1 Economics PhD student while they conduct research together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
