The normal requirement for admission to the <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">M.Sc. in Economics<\/strong> is a Bachelor&#8217;s (Honours) 4 Year Degree (or the equivalent) in Economics, with an average cumulative grade of B+ or higher, calculated using the last 20 completed courses. Applicants with bachelor&#8217;s degrees majoring in other subjects other than economics, are expected to have had adequate preparation in advanced microeconomic and macroeconomic theory, econometrics, and mathematics. This could be satisfied, for example, by having completed undergraduate courses in advanced microeconomic theory, advanced macroeconomic theory, econometric theory and methods, mathematical analysis in economics, and statistical analysis in economics. Students with deficiencies in their preparation may be offered admission to our <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">extended master&#8217;s program<\/strong>. The typical requirement for the <strong class=\"myprefix-text-bold\">Ph.D. in Economics<\/strong> is a master&#8217;s degree in economics with an overall average of A- or higher.
